hi every body I tried to install drivers to my sound chip which is built to the mother board 811 series, and it is called soundmax. I can see the drivers there but NO volume control there,at which stage it say go control pannel and installthem which I have done by going into multimedia- devices and then click on every button ,, there I can see NO properties in LINE INPUT could any body help thank you urgent

You've probably already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the soundmax driver. If not, shoot for the most recent version, which appears to be available at this link:
If they're offering updated drivers it's likely that earlier versions were generic to microsoft OS's and you will be better served if you use one which is better suited to NT specifically.
