Hi, I have the following problem:
A compaq Proliant ML 370 Server G2 was infected by a virus last Friday. People from Compaq came to the office and tried to solve the problem, but they couldn`t. Finally, a specialized enterprise in recovering information from the hard drives could reach the information from the hard drives. Now, I need to start the server. I initialized it with the Smartstart 4.90 cd on it, but it appears a message that says that it doesn`t correspond to the version of the server, Error 10. Later on, when the problem is solved, I`m going to reinstall the windows NT 4.0 and the hard drives. I`m really worried, please I need help. Thank you!

It is not clear from your message what you are concerned about. It does not sound like you have a backup of your system?
Not sure what the Compaq folks could do for you concerning the virus. do you have a software maintenance agreement with them? Usually its just hardware.
A parallel install of NT would have regained you access to your data and system. Doesn't sound like this was tried? Was there more going on than just a virus infection? Any hardware issues?
