I'm getting the fallowing error when trying to install NT. I've tried it on two drives, FAT and in non-partitioned drives. As of now I have 98 on one drive, then another 4 gig drive divided into 2 fat16 partitions and i want nt in one or both. This is the error i keep getting ...

Are you sure that your that the partition that contains your Win98 is a FAT partition? If it is a FAT32 partition, you will not be able to install NT. I found this out the hard way.

I also found that there is no use of changing active partition your first partition must be fat16 or Ntfs

Will I have to repartition my active partition (which is running win98) to fat 16 if I want to install NT? Will using fat 16 reduce my usable drive space? Isn't there any way around this? Can't NT use my D drive to set up? Help please.
