It seems like you're trying to restrict a Win98 PC logging into an NT4 domain? Somewhere on a Win9x CD you will find poledit.exe, go into add/remove programs Windows setup and point it to where poledit is, install poledit and grouppol.dll. Start playing with poledit, but be careful not to lock yourself out of your system. This really is the sort of stuff you can write pages and pages about. But poledit can choose allowed apps (not disallowed apps!)but you will probably also need some registry hacks to lockdown IE these can be found on the web. Remember Win98 is not a secure OS and as such it is very very difficult to secure it. If you want all 9x machines logging into the domain to pickup policies you need to put a file called config.pol in the netlogon share and also install grouppol.dll on all 9x machines. You can apply policies by username, computername or global group (not local). If you're in a hurry to do this you need a book, if you've got time then just play until you understand it ;¬p
