Setting up 2 NIC Cards on one sever

Comment:
I am wondering about putting 2 NIC cards on one NT server. Each NIC would be connected to a seperate LAN. Can this work? WIll the server be able to keep track of which LAN is senting info, and can it sent info from one LAN to the other? Are there binding issues?
Thanks. ANy info of directions to online resourses would be greatly appreciated

I don't believe NT allows multiple NICs. However, there is a software product that will allow you to do this. See site

It's perfectly fine with NT, you can even set one to dhcp and the other not and assign multiple IP-adds. if you want to. To enable routing (sending ip-packets from one nic to the other) check the box when confguring TCP/IP.

NT works perfectly with 2 network cards. They must each be setup with an IP address from the different LANs. Then when configuring each adapter you can allow forwarding between the network interfaces if you so require
