The last guy working here got mad and left leaving me (the new guy) no admin password, i can't install software, printer drivers nothing...the drive is NTFS on window's 2000 server... i tried remote accessing using ntrecover and locksmith by using a serial cable and my laptop that has win2k pro...but locksmith can't load registry files...
I have a program that will hack into the admin password and let you change it. Unfortunatly, my server is going to be down for a couple of days but if you can wait, I'd be glad to send it to you.

Next possibility - is to exchange logon screensaver against commandline interpreter (cmd.exe).
To get access to the system, if it is NTFS, you have to make a second install of the OS into another directory. Or put the disk into another working WinNT system.
Then do ‘copy cmd.exe c:\winnt\system32\logon.scr’ FIRST save the original one, to logon.old Reboot, it will take some time, and when you are on the command line, start the User manager (usrmgr.exe for server or musrmgr.exe for workstation). You should be able to change the password. See message 11983
