looking on my NT4 Server CD today and found some cool stuff.....

\PPC\ <<<<We all know thats the install files for Windows NT4 for different platforms...

the interesting stuff.....

\CLIENTS\LANMAN\ <-- Lan Manger 2.2C
\CLIENTS\LANMAN.OS2 <--LanMan. for OS\2
\CLIENTS\MSCLIENT\ <- MS DOS Client for workgroups
\CLIENTS\TCP32WFW\ <-- TCP/IP 32bit for WFWG 3.x
\CLIENTS\RAS\ <-- updated RAS for WFWG(works on TCP/IP)
\CLIENTS\WIN95\ <-- amasingly, the Windows 95 setup files....

hey, you buy NT4 Server, you get all that for free.

Not quite. You also have to have paper licenses to support what you are running.

The ppc is just for the powerpc from apple.
when was the last time you saw a MIPS machine?
Alpha=best chip ever made but retired by MS/INTEL.

not really.

And the PPC version is for IBM PCs with the PPC chip.

but with some hacking, it will install on a Macintosh PPC.

The ppc is motorola not ibm and was designated for the PowerPC from Apple.

Warp dude if you got client licenses then you can install win95a on those boxes as well connect to wfw, dos, or os2 clients. Good eh? Mines got 5 client licences. Enjoy your find ;)
