I'm trying to install 2 scsi drives into a different computer, but I can't get the jumper settings right. The controller sees the drives but I can't format or partition them because I DOS can't find the drives. I'm using Adaptec's AHA-2940 and 2 Seagate Barracuda 15150-N scsi drives... please help!

If you are trying to format the disks ready for an NT installation - dont bother. When you run the Nt setup you can create and format partitions. Be aware that if NT cannot find the controller you will need to specify extra scsi devices. The best way to do this is to get the driver ready on a diskette for you scsi card, run NT setup and press F6 a couple of times right at the begining of the setup program. This wil then prompt you to specify other scsi devices. Press S and insert the disk, choose other and it will look on the disk for you drivers. After this setup will continue and find the drives.

Hope this helps.... If not feel free to mail me
