How do you replace the bios? Do I just go into setup and reformat the hard drive? I need details, please. These are 486 machines that were on a Novell network. Thanks

Replace the bios? You probably mean flash it with an update correct? The bios information is not stored on the hard drive so this will not do it. you need to obtain bios updates from the manufacturer (usually available on the web site). These updates will create a bootable disk for you and automatically flash the bios. Might I ask why you need to "replace" the bios.
