I have nt 4.0 sp5 workstation that has a system partition (c:) size of 2 gigs. There is another data partition (d:) that is 4 gigs but has 3 gigs free space. How can I resize my c: partition bigger than 2 gig by removing the free space from the d: partition?? If I can accomplish this, will the system partition be able to boot because it is bigger than 2 gigs?? The C: partition is formatted in fat16 and the d: is in ntfs. Any suggestions?

Hi Mendez,
NT reads and boots up to a 4 gig partition. The only way to resize your partition without losing all data would be to use a program like partition magic or the like. You might do a search for more products.
Small drives are pretty cheap these days and are still very common. Have you considered installing a different drive? This may be the way to go easily and cheaply. Some programs that will do what you want to do may cost $70 or $80. Are you comfortable or experienced with swapping or adding drives? It's a pretty simple process. Be sure you have backups of all your data. Good luck and post back.

As "Tech2go" advises you could use a partition tweaking util (PM/SC/BootITng etc...) to resize the current 2Gig to a max of 4Gig... (backup all data first...!)
However I would tend to follow his second suggestion and install a second/larger drive. Typically they come with a util that will allow you to transfer (copy) the current installation to that new drive (again in a Primary to a max of 4Gig - fat16 in your situation) and then use current drive as a Slave for data etc.
The cost of a second drive (to be the new Master ultimately) is probably around that for a util such as PM/SC etc...; which being so I'd go the second/new drive route.
Whichever way you go - backup data first...!
