Hello, I am getting Replicator errors in event viewr on my servers. They are NT4 servers. The error messages are : "The replication server could not update directory scripts from the source on server1 due to error 32" and the next message is : " System error 32 occurred". I am no expert on NT4 and NO Genius..... unlike some off u who write in.... yes I am jealous!! If anyone can help please write in and leave me instructions on wot to do!!! I have a user named REPLICATOR and have given "Act as operating system" rights in User Manager > Policies > Advanced User Rights.... but I doubt if I did it correctly.... cos I still get the error messages in event viewr! What should I look for and what do I need to do?? A speedy reply would be most appreciated!! Thanks.

Yes we seem to get a lot of these errors. It would be helpful if the error message was more informative. One thing to try is checking the system times if you are replicating between two different computers. If there is too great a difference in time then you could get this error (but then you could get exactly the same error for any number of reasons).

This Microsoft Article may be helpful:
You may have already done this, but look them up by the event ID. A common one we get with the same message as you has these event id's. This Microsoft article is helpful.
Event ID 3216 and 3208 Logged For Replicator Service (Q132950).
In a nutshell: per the article, "The replicator service requires exclusive use of resources, such as directories and all of their subdirectories being imported or exported, and files on the REPL$ and NETLOGON shares. Any violation of this exclusive use, such as File Manager having one of these directories open, or users connected to the NETLOGON share, causes this problem."

I've got this error each time I reboot my NT4 server and it's seem to be normal because my replicator work every 5 minutes and this error never appear other time than reboot time.
