repair/restore NTFS partition

I've been playing around with Linux, and upon installation, it deleted my NTFS partition. The drive with NT on it has not been formatted since this happened (hopefully preserving the data). Is there any way to restore the partition and get my data back? I tried norton utilities, but it wants to make it FAT instead of NTFS. I also can't find the rescue disk. I do have a minimal installation of NT on another partition (I have three total on the drive). (I guess that's what I get for not backing up my system before installing Linux for the first time.)

Boot from the setup disks you created during the installation of NT4. At the menu screen choose the option to repair and enter the repair disk to create the bootsector info again. Windows 95 has altered the master boot record of the hard drive. Failing that your only option is to reinstall NT.
