repair/restore NTFS partition

I've been playing around with Linux, and upon installation, it deleted my NTFS partition. The drive with NT on it has not been formatted since this happened (hopefully preserving the data). Is there any way to restore the partition and get my data back? I tried norton utilities, but it wants to make it FAT instead of NTFS. Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, I can't find my rescue disk for the life of me. I did install NT again on another partition (I have three on the same drive). I tried using the Disk admin prog, but it wants to format the partition. Any ideas on what I can do???
