Hi, Today I removed a program from a PC but the entry in the start menu remained. I tried to remove it from the Start-->setting-->taskbar-->remove but the program though listed is not seen in the box of items. Needless to say if you see it then you can remove it. Any ideas.
...and ought to be able to accompish your goal well within the time limit for the trial version of the program. It costs $12.95, which seems like deal to me.

Have a look in C:\Winnt\Profiles\All Users\Start Menu\Programs (you must have admin privileges to delete folders and shortcuts there).

Can't remember if it was possible in NT or just 2k, but if so it's easier just to right-click on the start menu entry and select remove (if you can...)
