I have a single domain, with a single server (NT Server 4.0 SP 6a). There are 2 remote site on a different subnet that log onto that domain via a IPSec VPN Tunnel. The PDC
is also the WINS Server, and all of the clients have a LMHOST file. The client computers are W2K Pro machines with SP 2. The remote clients have no problem logging onto the domain, and all of the computers in all three subnets are being
broadcast via network places & network neighborhood. The problem I'm having is after logging onto the domain none of the remote clients can access any of the servers resources, or for that matter any computers resources on
that subnet. If I try to run a "net view \\server" and it returns (System error 1726 has occurred. The remote procedure call failed.) If I do a computer search for the
server or any computers using their computer name, it finds them without problem.Has anyone seen this behavior?
Thanks in advance,
David

According to MS's website, error 1726 is an RPC failure. The system (local or remote, not too clear on that) doesn't support that particular function. This is strange, and doesn't quite add up. Do you have a sniffer? If so, how about capturing some packets when you're running this command, and sending them. I can have a look and see what I find.

No I don't have a sniffer, but the routers i'm using (Netopia R7200) have a VPN quick view that shows packets received & packets transfered. It doesn't seem to alarming. Do you know of a good and cheep sniffer?
