We have a win95 machine that was once an NT 3x server, then was supposedly wiped clean and Win95 was installed. The problem: Once it was put on the network (8 other Win95 clients with an NT4 stand-alone server) an icon appears in everyone's network neighborhood, identifying it by a truncated version of it's "company name" (it does show up properly under the workgroup, though).

A major clue is that I keep getting the start up error message "The windows registry or system.ini file refers to this device file, but the device file no longer exists: Try uninstalling the associated application or setup program: VSERVER.VXD"
Is this the reason it wants to be identified as a server on the network? AND how do I get rid of this?
Thanks in advance!
