On a Winnt Server 4 SP6 If I use regedit and make changes in HKEY_CURRENT_USER and logoff, the changes won't be saved. I've tried with different users....same thing. It's not in the policies, because I've checked.

You should be using regedit to search only and regedt32 to make your changes. regedit is known to misdisplay some of the values.

I've never heard of that kind of problem (misdisplay) with regedit. Anyway, I tried with regedt32 and it didn't work... same thing. Could it have to do with the Default profile. Because I'm really making the changes to that user and when I log back on, the value is back to 0.
thanks

Make sure that the user profile is not also a member of the guests group. I have seen that not save changes after reboot.
