Hi!
I´m a Systemadministartrator on a school.
I serve about 50 Computers, all with WinNT but some of the students are using the regedit to get them self to admins. I now wonder if Anybody nows somethink that I can lock Regedit or make i Secure?
I´m please with all tries and answers.

Thanks!

Mvh/Jon

You need to make use of 'Policies'. You can run poledit.exe on the server and setup user policies and you could also run poledit on the local PCs to set policies on the computer. Beware though, policy editor is NOT user friendly or intuitive. There are a number of shareware packages which can not only lock down desktops but stop access to control panel, printers, registry edite etc etc.

Have a look on zdnet & tucows you should find something there.
