Recycler problem - HELP!!

I am having a problem in NT 4.0 Server. There is apparently a url in my recycle bin that only shows up when I am trying to run a virus scan and the virus scan locks up when it gets to that file. The weird thing is that you cannot see the file there and I cannot get rid of it. The recycle bin is empty when you open it so I cannot even restore the file. At a command prompt it says "file not found" when I try to delete all the files under the recycler directory. When I change directories to the specific SID directory under recycler (there is only one, it is S-1-5-~1) and do DIR it shows a folder called DC4. I can CD to that directory and then there are no files there. I have tried removing the hidden and system attributes from all files to see if that's why nothing shows, but that didn't make anything happen either. BUT when I right click on the Recycler forder in NT explorer it says there are 4 files in 2 folders. The virus tool I am trying to run has to scan through all files and folders, it is a removal tool for a specific virus so I cannot exclude a directory. When it gets hung on that file I can see that it is some kind of URL and then I get a Dr. Watson and the tool stops. The Dr Watson doesn't tell me anything. What can I do to get rid of those files? On Microsoft's website I found a document telling me how to delete a corrupt recyler folder altogether, but it will not work. If I try to delete the folder it says "directory not empty." Someone please HELP!

Well, I used a disk erase uitility to try to clean the recycler folder and I finally now see the 2 files that are the culprits. Problem is, though that the erase utilities I have tried give me an error saying the filename is too long and the file can't be accessed. Now that I see the files, they will show up in a command prompt window (still won't show up in NT Explorer) with DIR command, but if I try to use DEL, RD /s /q or ERASE commands, it says File Not Found. What can I do?
