Recycle bin error
Name: superplay Date: November 27, 2002 at 10:53:25 Pacific OS: NT CPU/Ram: Yes
Comment:
I have a server that will not correctly empty the recycle bin.
On attempting to emty the bin the following error is shown
Cannot delete filename:Path Is Too Deep
Looking in the recycled folders there are no files there. Allthough the recycled folder is 95MB +

Reply:
Perhaps you can't see the file because it's attribute is set to hidden - go to folder options and select show all files and see if you can see the filename in the recycle bin then. Path is too deep refers to a file that is more than 255 characters in length. Refer to MS Knowledge base article Q180410 for more information on the message "Path too deep"
