Recieving errors at start up

CPU/Ram: 6.4 gb/64/P2

I just purchased a IBM thinkpad from ebay. There is no OS. The harddrive is not formatted. When I turn it on I recieve an error code 192. The run the test promp then recieve the following codes from the system board:
DEV 001
ERR 91
FRU 3610
Will an OS boot disk correct the problem?

Try replacing the cmos battery. It's next the memory.
