I have a duel boot system of Windows 98 and Windows NT Server 4.0. in one hard disk. recently, I accidentally deleted some system files from the Windows 98. I reformatted the C drive and reinstore Windows 98. Since then, I lost the Windows NT choice on the operating system choice list screen, which enable me to choose between Windows NT and Windows 98. (Now I have only one choice, Windows 98).

I check Windows Explorer, I have NT in a new drive (I don't know if there is any missing files). The removable drive for my zip drive changed to a new drive too.

How can I reboot to NT and use it without giving up Windows 98 again?

Assuming NT is still all there it sounds like you have overwritten your master boot record. Use your 3 NT setup disks and choose the repair option to restore it.

It worked. Thank you, Richard and Computing.Net. Just curious, if I lost my setup disks, is there a way to get back my master boot record?
