Hi,
(Excuse My English, I'm French....)I would like to understand RDISK !!!!
When I scan a RDISK diskette (coldly made) with LC4, I have many information about my user account on my network, it's ok !!
But, if I scan a BDC Server, I have different information about the same user and password ???
However, I make rdisk regularly ???I noticed that the folder "\Repair" was up to date since 1 year, which I do not understand at all. Because the passwords are frequently changed, the groups and several configurations are made to these users. I don't understand why the SAM file is not changed on the folder \Repair ??
If it is normal, I would like to know if it is possible to get a backup with any software for that ??
If I have a problem of security in my environment or network, What should I do??
I have many BDC Server....
I just want to know how I can take the backup without The Big DLT Backup.(Excuse My English, I'm French....)
Thansk's a lot.....

Hi,
If I understand well....
It's necessary to make "Rdisk /s-" have make this test and the directory /Repair is now up to date.
And especially the SAM file. It's very strange to see this system functioning in this way....
Then now, I make make this command and then with the diskette. I will be certain that my information will be up to date.
Do you believe that I am correct ???
Thank you so much for you're help
Best Regards
NeRo

http://www.systransoft.com/
pour aider des erreurs correctes...
*******************
rdisk /s saves a copy of the repair information to the hard-disk - including the SAM file.
rdisk (no /s) gives you the choice to update the Repair directory on the drive, or to make the ERD disk.
For a more detailed explanation, see:
http://www.techadvice.com/nt40/R/Rdisk.htm
My French is not too good as it used to be, and I have used the programme at:

to help correct mistakes.
