Win-95 (SR2.1 with all patches and updates) is the client, dials into modem #1 on NT server 4 (with SP 6a). Connection works fine for varying amounts of time (several minutes to maybe an hour). Then all data stops flowing. Can't ping the server. Modems are still connected. So I disconnect the connection. Try to dial-back the server, but modem won't pick-up. Go to server (RAS admin) and find I'm still connected. So I disconnect myself. Then I can dial back in again (and face same problem again).

Dial into modem #2 on the same server, and never have this problem. Both modems are the same (Zoom internal ISA bus, not "Win Modems").

What's going on here?

Reply:

Try changing one of the modems to some other brand if internal ISA Or pref any brand external for second modem

Reason : this will solve IRQ conflits
