Please bear with me ... I am not a technical person ...
I had RAS setup on my NT server to allow a single dial in (one at a time) ... I thought that I had set up a static IP address.
Right now when I dial in I get:
Dial-Up Networking could not negotiate a compatible set of network protocols you specified in the server Type settings. Check your network configuration in the Control Panel then try it again.
On the NT in the event viewer on the hour I see a message that says:
Scope ... is 100 percent utilized with only 0 IP addresses remaining.
When I look at the NT services I see the MS DHCP Server started in automatic mode ...It looks like my DHCP is running.
Can I select this service and shut it off and see if I get my RAS service back like it was before?

a) what Service pack are you running ?
b) For a small pool of Ras users, it seems to work very well if you specifiy a block of say 5 IP's in the pool, EXCLUDE the first 2 for RAS server use. leaving three for your single dial in.
if you need clarification e-mail

I am connecting a windows 95 workstation to windows NT server using dial-up(RAS). I have checked by pinging that everything is working alright. But there is one problem with Microsoft Exchange. whenever I try Inbox, it always give a message that microsoft exchange server is unavailable. With same setting it is running on another PC. I have tried again and again by reinstalling the network protocols (TCP/IP & NETBEUI) and Microsoft exchange but it did not work. Please let me know that what protocols are to be used for Microsoft Exchange as other things such as Internet is running using the same RAS connection.
