RAS Callback not working

I have NT workstation 4. I use a modem
to connect to my company server(running DOS/NetWare). All protocols are installed correctly, and I can connect as guest to the remote server. The problem is that using my username/password I can't log on. The callback function (office server should cal my modem back) is also not working. I've checked with the sysad of my company, he says my account on the server is fine - no probs there. He advises to install Win 98 as many other users are using 98 and have no callback problems. I can't remove NT without reformatting my NTFS drives and losing lot of data.

Another unrelated question, I'd be grateful if somebody can answer: is it possible to restore the NT registry to the original pristine state when no s/w was installed?

There has to be something in the way your username is spelled that doesnt sync up with the server. It has to be exactly the same.

Provided your sure that you do have an account set up.

As far as restoring the registry, sure it's possible. Provided you created a backup before you installed any s/w.
