I am looking for a way to run a batch file that will ask for input and check a dir. Take the input information and then start an ftp session to transfers these files, input username and password automatically, and then ultimatily change the file name

type ftp -help at the prompt.
This will show you how to set up a batch file with ftp calling up another file for the information.
