OS: Windows NT 4.0 Server
CPU/Ram: P4 512
Model/Manufacturer: Compaq Proliant 1600
Comment:
Hi,

I have just added a new 9.1GB drive to my existing RAID 5 array. The Compaq array utility has added the disk, restripped the disks and done its parity check - all OK. However, NT isn't seeing the extra disk space. I have done this in the past and had to something to make NT see the extra space, but I can't remember what I did.
Any suggestions?

many thanks

Paul Davies

you have to go into disk administrator, partition and format the available space before you see it in my computer.

Wanderer,

Thanks for this. I can see the spare space in disk administrator. I'll give it a go over next weekend.
