I am replacing windows NT sysadmin for our
windows NT4 network. He told me that if there's a problem with some users profiles, to simply delete their profiles and simply recreate them. All the user's profiles are stored on a unique windows NT 4 server. But I found that on that server, under the direcroty WINNT\Profiles, there's just the
Admin profile, and the Default User profiles.
So how come all those users have no profile
directories there! I have a user xyz that needs to have his profile deleted and recreated. Should I forget about his missing profile directory, and simply Remove, then add him again to the "User manager for Domains" tools..and that should do it.

Basically the profiles can be stored anywhere on the server (the directory doesn't have to be in the WINNT dir).
An easy way to find all shares on a server (-> the profile dir has to be shared) is to use the Server Manager. Double-click your Server and select "shares". This will list all the shares you have on that server with the complete directory path.

By default, the user profiles are stored under winnt\ system32\repl\ import \profiles.
