I have come across a few old CDs recently, one being a CD for Windows NT4, and another one being NT4 service pack 2. What are the system requirements for WinNT4? And would would the Service Pack 2 do for it?

The minimum requirement for windows NT 4.0 is a 486 with 16mb ram, However, it runs better with a pentium and 64 mb ram. Service pack 2 was an operating system update, the latest from Microsoft is service pack 6. If you download internet explorer 4.01 you also get the active desktop. Another update is the USB and FAT32 drivers, available at download.com

Careful. The latest Service Pack is 6a, not 6. In answer to the question, put SP2 on your machine. It has bug fixes etc on it.

I am thinking about trying it on my Pentium 133Mhz with 32MB RAM. The advice was very helpful. Thanks!
