Hey!

I have partition magic 4.0.
I was wondering whether it is possible to quad-boot with the following operating systems. I have read a lot of the messages concerning dual booting.

I want to leave my fat32 (win98) partition as it is as I have downloaded a utility called fat32.exe for nt, which allows nt to read fat32. I also know that in NT 5.0, the fat32 problem has been fixed.

If someone could tell me what I should it would be most appreciated. If you could give a bit of detail concerning the use of partition magic 4.0 would be awesome!
-> do i install pqmagic's boot manager or what?

please reply to this wwwboard or email asap!

Thanks

Hey akshay....you sound kewl :0) I am not sure about Linux in a Fat32 enviroment but...
I have created a quintuple boot before without part mag...of course installed DOS first and then the rest...but I also installed NT first and did it backwards..the trick is to update your ERD everytime you install another op system...there is also some editing you need to do in the boot.ini file. After installing fat32.exe install NT4 boot with the three setup disks and it will prompt you for the ERD... follow logical instructions and boot will happen then update the ERD and then install NT5 and then boot with the setup disks again and then update the ERD again and then install Linux and then boot with setup disks, then ERD and then update the ERD. You should have four op systems files nestled nicely on your C:\ ...My setup is done on FAT16:
DOS
Win98
WinNT 16 bit apps
WinNT 32 bit apps
RedHat
Works like a charm :0)

I read what you wrote, and I think if you want to run those operating systems with ease, it would be advisable to get system commander, it partitions on command, and is able to do everything that partition magic can do. It will also make it extremely easy for you to run the operating systems. I myself use it with nt,98, and linux, and it works great.
