This problem is weird. I was trying to get my Dell Optiplex GX150 machine setup with Windows NT 4.0 when something happened to my desktop icons and any new icons I create on the desktop. Here is what is happening. The icon I want is displayed but on top of it is the graphic that is the icon for Services in the Control Panel. Even when I go to properties and pick a new icon that icon displays in the window as I want it but when I select OK on the desktop i get that icon with the Services icon on top. Have I activated some kind of weird option and this is supposed to happen. I logged on as Administrator and created a Desktop icon and the same thing happens. I just don't get it. Anybody have any ideas. As I said before the icon I select is there but with the icon that represents Services in the Control Panel plastered on top of it.

LOL no here is your answerClick Start , point to Settings , click Control Panel , and then double-click Display .
Click the Appearance tab, click Icon Spacing (Vertical) in the Item box, and then set the size of this item to 43.
In the Item box, click Icon Spacing (Horizontal) , and then set the size of this item to 43.
Click OK , and then restart your computer.
