i installed Nt4 on my server. then wingate3.0 for proxy, but i couldn't configure it to download e-mails from workstations. i uninstalled wingate and intalled winproxy2.1, after installing it i was abled to download messages from workstation and also able to surf but next day when i rebooted my server then this message comes up "winproxy is unable to bind CERN HTTPproxy to listen on IP address192.168.0.1:80 there may be another service running on this computer which is already accepting connections on that port", same message for FTP. now can anybody tell me which is the best proxy server to install and which would be very easy to configure.
if anybody knows about the configuration of wingate then welcome.

Well MS Proxy 2 may be a bit old now but it is a pretty good firewall nontheless. It looks like some other service is being loaded prior to proxy and it is grabbing port80 hence the message from Proxy Server. Take a look in Control Panel->Services and make sure that all traces of Wingate have gone.
