Comment:

I have NT Server running and I want to install a Proxy Server. Can I do this through the NT Server software or do I have to purchase Proxy software? What is the easiest and best way to do this? Thanks

MS Proxy Server is not free, you'll need to purchase it from a licensed vendor.

Proxy Server is the best way to compliment the NT domain for controlling Internet access, true. You should have a dedicated machine running NT server* and Proxy Server (that is not a Domain controller.) There are several reasons for this listed in Microsoft's TechNet listings. Also be sure that this machine is the physical entry point of your ISP (T1 line, ISDN, Dial-up, etc...)
It, like all of Microsoft's Domain based software comes at a price, but you don't have to pay extra for additional Proxy clients. Any computer vendor should be able to get you what you need.

Go to www.cnet.com and search for proxy server. You'll find that they have a lot of FREE User friendly proxy servers that you can download and use them. Check the OS for compatibility. I most enjoy using the WinProxy server.
