Reply: (edit)Have you created a computer account on the domain ? I think you also need to check the logon type (i cant remember exactly how to do this - as it has been 2yrs + since i used 95).....basically you need the client for Microsoft Networks, also check the protocol you are using - mail me for any specific details

Reply: (edit)I have the exact same message, I am trying to have a TCP/IP shop but for Windows 95/98 I had to install IPX/SPX on the NT 4 server and Windows 95/98 and the problem will go away

Reply: (edit)1. Make a computer account on PDC 2. Make usr account on PDC 3. IPX isnt the issue, you dont need it. 4. Make sure caps lock is off

Reply: (edit)If IPX isn't the issue then what causes a Windows 98 PC to not connect to a NT4 server running TCP/IP only. The 98 clients grab an IP address from the server, but it can't talk to it.

Reply: (edit)The user name/password your using in win 95 is there an equivalent account created on the NT Server. If so, try changing your password on the Server and login again. I'm just wondering does your username have the right to log on across the network. By the way I have no problems connecting Win 98 to NT Server with just TCP/IP running on both.
