I have a printer connected to a Unix machine, whih is connected to a LAN. I need to print jobs from Windows (95/98/NT).
Any idea or recommended software to do this?

Hector,

Printing from a Windows Platform is easy if you have a lpr daemon running on your Unix machine. You can only print from Windows NT to a UNIX LPR daemon. Open your Network settings from the Control Panel, install the Microsoft TCP/IP printing service, from there you must add the IP number of the UNIX machine and the name of the printerqueue. Through this way a IP:lpr socket will be added to list of printerports (like LPT1). After this just install the right printerdriver with Add printer in the NT explorer and select the port you made.

Good Look
