I just installed an HP network printer on my domain. It is suppose to service 5 computers. Two of the computers are members of the Domain. Three computers are members of a work group. Yesterday I added the printer to everyone's computer and everyone could print fine. (I also changed their permissions to USER. Before, they had admin rights and would change to other printers at will. It was a problem). But with user rights they can't print. When I put them back in the Domain Administrators Group they could print again.
My problem/question is why can't they print with only users rights. (even when I give them full control under Printer Permissions)..??
I'm new here and Im really trying to tighten security. The previous guy gave EVERYBODY administrator rights and Im slowly trying to bust everybody down to USER, except for those who need more rights....

Pick a user and check all access rights for all groups they belong to for a no access.i also believe ownership over rides no access. if so admins will always be able to print as they are proberly the printer object owner.
