Hi, I am trying to set up HP laserjet 1200 series PCL printer which is hosted on another machine. I downloaded the drivers from HP web site and tried to set up but is saying "printer driver setup error ; the printer driver is unknown".
The way i tried is Start->Settings->Printer->Add Printer->NetworkPrinter server-> pointed to printer shown in list and asked for .inf file and i browsed from disk where i previously stored the drivers downloaded from HP website. But it is not accepting what could be the problem how to set up and how to overcome this problem. Thanks in advance.
Summary: I have tried to re-install the printer drivers for this HP DeskJet 1600C. If I log on as admin it works fine. When I log on as user the message "HP Desk Jet printer driver is not properly installed....
