Comment: I have configure my bios to set the monitor to sleep mode after 5 minutes, but lo and behold after five minutes it doesn't turn off. my monitor does stupport power management. what should i to do enable this from my bios to the os?

Reply: NT does not support power management but there is a solution for your monitor. You must go to your video card web-site and look for a specific screen saver. I've a matrox G200 and do like this.
