Comment: My laptop running NT Workstation connects without any problems to the NT server 4.0 at school. The domain name is called team3 and the computer name is called stokpae. At home however, I tried to connect the same laptop to my NT server 4.0. The NT server domain name is called ODResources and the computer name is called ODComputer. The following error appeared when I tried to change the laptop's domain name to ODResources while creating a computer account in the domain: "The domain controller for this domain cannot be located" Also I have the error "Destination Host Unreachable" when I tried to ping either computer. What's strange is that the cables are well connected, the hub is working fine and both nic card and TCP/IP protocols are installed! Could anyone help me! Thanks

Reply: (edit)Okay, here's the deal. If you have a static IP at school, then you are for surely going through the wrong gateway... Do you have any real IPs at home? if not you can use 192.168.1.x ip block... I think you are getting way ahead of yourself... dual networks with a laptop can take some serious setting up before it works well... two different networks and obviously two different setups... If you email me some seriously detailed info I'd be glad to give you all the info I can squeeze out of my head for the easiest way to integrate... msmendick@mail.osp.com
