I have am NT System partitioned into drive C:\ D:\ E:\
I sucessfully deleted drive E:\ as all it has was one folder with temp files in it.
When I try to get rid of D:\ it complains that it contains a system file on it. I am clueless as to how to delete this system file. Another thing would be if I could format it then the system file would be gone. When I attempt to format it says it can't lock drive. I need help and fast. ---Thank you ALL--- id43rd1@mindspring.com

Are you still able to boot to NT? If so then can you see this file in NT Explorer? You may have to enable 'show all files types' in Explorer\View\options\view if the file is hidden/read-only. Via the file's properties set attributes to remove hidden/read-only, then you can delete it?

I bet its the swapfile. Go to control panel, system, performance tab, change virtual memory button, and it will display where its placed, you want to put it to zero or blank on the d drive and the same sizes as listed onto the c drive.
Sounds goofy but just follow my steps and you'll figure it out.
