pagefile sizes

hi. i'm using an old dell p75 machine with a 540mb hard disk. i've added a second 540mb hard disk. there is 64mb of ram. should i have a pagefile on both drives, and if so what size? the machine seems really slow (slower than usual, that is). cheers

yes it's recommended that you use the pagefile in more than one drive for a good performance. but you have to check what application you use to configure your pagefile

I can't beleive my MCP tests actually helped.
You want to have the pagefile on a partition that is not on the same partition as the system files.
If you have 3 or more hard drives, it's best to have them on the 2 that don't have the system partition, etc...
And a random rule of thumb was to have a pagefile double the size of the memory. In your case, 64 MG RAM = 128 MG Virtual.
