Help! I recently installed a share ware program and after rebooting my problem started (share ware program has been uninstalled). Attempting to run Eudora Pro 4.0 results in error message dialog box stating that 'the ordinal 431 could not be located in dynamic link library SHLWAPI.DLL'.
I am running NT 4.0 Workstation, service pack 4 on a Dell Precision 410 workstation. I have tried running NT Repair from the CD - restoring SHLWAPI is not an option. I replaced the shlwapi.dll file with one from another computer, did not fix problem. I also cannot get Internet Explorer to work, the program starts but will not load a page from the internet or from hard drive. All attempts to reinstall IE 4.0 or to upgrade to IE 5.0 give the exact same error message - good old ordinal 431. Checked Microsoft's website, there is a reference to ordinal 441 - suggestion is to reinstall IE! I also get an error reported by Dr Watson for NT sometime after every boot of the system. The error is 'Application Error loadwc.exe exception on 0x006d007e' and a memory address that varies from day to day.
Does anyone have any suggestions besides a total reinstall of NT? I have had to reinstall NT on this system before and do not look forward to having to reinstall everything.

I have emailed you a copy of the dll file which is the latest version. Try it and see if that cures the prob.
