When the computer first boots, go into the setup/BIOS/CMOS once there, you should see a setting under advanced that allows you to set the numlock to on at boot

Hi,

you will have to modify a key in registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard\InitialKeyboardIndicator

have to be value "2"

This is only for the Current User. If you want to change it for all new Users you will have to make the Changes in HKEY_USERS\.Default

Now when you activate Numlock and login again it is activated again. But if you logout with deactivated Numlock it will be deactivated at next login.

(sorry for my terrible english :-) )
