When the computer first boots, go into the setup/BIOS/CMOS once there, you should see a setting under advanced that allows you to set the numlock to on at boot

Summary: Log in and when you are at your desktop set numlock state to on, and then press CTRL+ALT+DEL and choose Logoff to log off. This procedure permanently saves the NumLock key state. Best regards Mattias...
