I have several users that are having problems with their profile saving all of their changes. The server is NT 4.0 and the client pc's are both NT 4.0 and Win2k. Some changes they make seem to save ok, for instance the desktop icons and favorites. However no matter how many times you create or change the quick launch bar, none of the changes are saved. Also more and more people are having problems with their outlook email signatures disappearing. They recreate the signature and then it disappears after they log off. This problem occurs on both the NT 4.0 clients and the Win2k clients whether they are running Office 97 or Office 2000. Any ideas?
does this happen on all pc's? Can you recreate their home folders and check their logon scripts. Are there any restrictions in place? Policies?, do the users have local admin on all pc's they log on to?

I think it has something to do with changing ntuser.dat to ntuser.man
This doesn't happen on all pc's. Not everyone is having this problem. One guy that is having this problem has local admin rights and belongs to the Power Users group. I noticed the problem start when I gave this guy a new pc with Win2k (clean install). His previous pc had Win2k also. There are not any policy restrictions that should cause this. I am at wits end. Microsoft support site hasn't been much help.
