i cant reload my win nt and i know its because of the 40 gig hd in it but i need a quick fix please help

You can't reload because of the 40G drive?

How about putting on a fresh copy of ntoskrnl?

Missing ntoskrnl etc...

"usually" means either the ARC path statement in the boot.ini is incorrect (pointing to the wrong location for the ntoskrnl.ee) or the file is indeed corrupt (if not mising...

Boot with NT floppies and run the usual repair - detailed more here:

If the 40 GB really is the problem:

ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-unsup-ed/fixes/nt40/atapi/ATAPI.EXE

Put this in it's own folder and run it. Then read the readme.
