NTBackup not responding?

Hi,
we have a NTBackup scheduled each day. It backups about 4-5 Gigs and starts around midnight. What happens is that sometimes when we get back in the morning, the ntbackup.exe is still in the task and we have to kill it, and the backup didn't work.
Anyone have idea why ntbackup would fail? We have enough free disk space on the drive and it doesn't ALWAYS fail....

Make sure you do not have ntbackup already running. If it's running it won't process the AT entry.

This is a known NT bug, I talked to Microsoft about it and they told me there was no solution, I made a script to workaround this problem andd even send it to Microsoft ( here in Holland ) What you need to do is in fact find out if NTbackup is already running ( that is the programm is not running but the PID is still there), if so kill the pid before the next BU session is started. For the script ( few lines and some tools ) email me
