Since migration to active directory, our NT server will no longer allow new users that were created after the AD Migration to map the NT share/drive as their user. All client systems are XP Pro and this NT server appears to be the only server having this issue. Trying to map the drive only results in re-prompting for authentication. It appears that only the domain administrator can map the drive on these user's computers, but then that gives them access to files/directories that only the domain administrator should have access to.
does anyone have any ideas on this? willing to try almost anything to save the hassle of having to upgrade to 2000 on this right now.

What's the Parent Container of the NT Server? Sometimes, an Administrator is needed to identify the location for mapping the drives.

I am not sure what you mean by "container" but the NT server that I am talking about is in a domain/network situation and used to be the domain controller before we migrated to Active Directory and a Windows 2000 Adv. Serv is now our primary domain controller.
As the administrator (or any of the users that were created on the NT box previous to migration) I am able to map the drives, but for obvious reasons this is a big security problem. So I am wondering if there is a work around without having to upgrade the box, but maybe the upgrade is the only way.
If you can give any additional help I would be greatly appreciative.
Thanks.
