NT4 upgrade from win3.1 or win95

I have the NT4 upgrade disk that i want to put on a laptop, but i only have win3.1 or win95 disks not NT3.1 or NT3.5 so is there any way i can upgrade my laptop using win3.1 or win95? or can someone tell me where i can get NT3.1 or NT3.5 as i want NT4 on my laptop because its more stable that win95. I hope you can understand me and that you can help. Thanks in advance. Rachel.

You should be able to upgrade from any previous MS OS. You don't have to have it installed either. When it gets to the part where it checks for a qualifying OS, it will give you a message about how you don't have one installed, and prompt you to enter a path.
