NT4 SP6, IE5.5 and 128-bit encryption

I installed SP6 on my NT4 workstation, then downloaded IE5.5 to replace IE2 which came with NT. Now when I need to reinstall the service pack, it tells me it doesnt support 128-bit encryption. I had to uninstall IE5.5. I hate IE2! How can I get a better IE browser on my NT4 SP6 system?
